What is VLSI?

VLSI, which stands for Very Large Scale Integration, is a process used in the design and fabrication of integrated circuits (ICs), which are electronic circuits that are made up of a large number of transistors and other components that are integrated into a single chip. VLSI technology allows for the creation of highly complex and compact ICs that can be used in a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics and computers to communication systems and medical devices.
