Even as each Rudraksha bead possesses divine qualities, understandable to science as magnetic properties, capacitance, inductance, and possess several minerals, the designated qualities of specific Rudrakshas are increased manifold when strung in a particular number with the addition of a bindu. A Rudraksha mala is a string of beads in numbers from 27, 54 or 108 plus one bead to serve as a bindu. The bindu bead serves the purpose of ensuring the energy is not trapped cyclically.
